The Norwegian has overseen victories of 5-1 over Cardiff City, 3-1 against Huddersfield Town and 4-1 over Bournemouth before 2-0 wins against Newcastle United and Reading. No other manager, including caretakers and secretary/managers, has begun with more than three such victories: that feat was achieved by William Sudell at Preston North End from September 1888, Vic Buckingham with Sheffield Wednesday from August 1961 and Craig Shakespeare at Leicester City from February 2017.
