The Met Office placed yellow weather warnings in several areas this weekend as storms Elin and Fergus inflict heavy rainfall and strong winds across the country. Oldham has already been affected by a heavy downpour though forecasters predict the borough, and Greater Manchester as a whole, will experience further heavy rain from 5pm today through to 3am tomorrow (Monday). The Met Office warns the persistent heavy rain poses a flooding risk and disruption to transport. A yellow rain warning has also been put in place for the north west on Monday though it is predicted Oldham will stay dry for most of the day from 5am onwards.
