The course, which is usually run at Oldham Fire Station, had taken place at Manchester Community Fire Station, on Thompson Street in Manchester, due to refurbishment taking place at Oldham Fire Station. The 12-week course is open to young people aged 16 to 25 who are not in education or full-time employment. A new bespoke team room including a classroom, office, kitchen and toilet has been built at the fire station to facilitate the programme. The course will run from January 29, 2024 for 12 weeks at the Lees Road fire station site.
