Sports Permanent Secretary Joe Okudo has played down speculations of bad blood between the Ministry of Sports and local federations. There is no bad blood between us and the federation. In fact I think the federation and the Ministry have enjoyed the best of relationship that we have seen so far. The PS said there were disturbing complaints emerging from the federations, adding that the ministry would continue to demand for utmost integrity from those tasked with running the federations. This is a strategy put together with Members of Parliament where we are going to set up constituent academies.
