Theophilus OnojeghenProminent Deltans, including Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, have paid tributes to the leader of the All Progressives Congress in the state, Olorogun O’Tega Emerhor, who turned 60 on Saturday. Okowa stated that Emerhor’s foray into politics enriched opposition politics and deepened democracy in the state through his personal sacrifice and leadership by example. Elumelu, represented by Valentine Ozigbo, said Okowa was not doing badly but Emerhor would have performed excellently if he had won. In his remarks, an APC leader, Hyacinth Enuha, said there would have been no APC in the state if not for Emerhor’s support and commitment. Meanwhile, Over 5,000 persons from seven communities of Ughelli North and Isoko South Local Government Council Areas of Delta State benefited from a three-day free medical outreach organised to mark Emerhor’s birthday.
