Fuel stations in the west of France are running out of fuel after construction workers launched several big oil depot blockages last week. In Brittany, workers staged the blockages on Thursday and Friday and kept it going all weekend, disrupting the fuel distribution of four large oil depots in the Breton cities of Brest, Lorient, Le Mans and Vern-sur-Seiche (close to Rennes). On Monday the stations lacking fuel had multiplied, prompting red dots to appear all over an interactive map published by Le Télégramme to signal where there is fuel shortage in Brittany. Further south, in the region of La Rochelle, another blockade was cleared at 4.30pm on Friday, following talks between workers and the local government. Protesting fuel tax hike
