Oil exploration company OMV NZ is currently refurbishing their new offices in New Plymouth using local contractors. Austrian-based oil explorer OMV NZ is set to move to a new location in central New Plymouth. The company, which owns the Maui and Pohokura gas fields, is investing $15 million into refurbishing the new offices on Gill St. The $15m investment by OMV NZ was a significant cash injection into the local economy as New Zealand moved into the economic recovery phase of Covid-19, a company spokesman said. Once completed the building will become a permanent home for more than 300 OMV NZ staff and contractors in Taranaki.
