Oil prices dropped to a six-week low, extending a week-long slide after the dollar rallied higher and skepticism grew stronger about production cuts from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries. U.S. crude oil for December delivery fell 70 cents, or 1.6%, to $43.96 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
