Oil edged up to the highest level in eight months on Monday, as optimism over the rebalancing of the global oil market continued to boost prices. Light, sweet crude for December delivery rose 19 cents, or 0.4%, to $54.09 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, trading at the highest level since February. Brent, the global benchmark, gained 21 cents, or 0.4%, to $60.65 a barrel, hitting another two-year high.
