The reconstruction of the single carriage way is being done through Public- Private-Partnership(PPP). The project comes with median, street lights, drains and walk way facilities. Amosun who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Kayode Ademolake, an engineer said the PPP arrangement model, is based on Build, Operate and Transfer ( BOT) basis. He pointed out that those whose buildings were affected due to the road reconstruction had been compensated by the State government noting that residents of Igbesa town as well as Okada riders and Keke Napep operators will be exempted from paying tolls on the road when completed. In his remarks, the Managing Director, China- Africa Investment, Mr. Wu, promised that the road reconstruction would be completed in record time, seeking the cooperation of the indigenes of the area.
