Samuel Awoyinfa, AbeokutaAhead of the 2019 governorship election, the Ogun West Senatorial District is set to hold a day political summit, where it will fine-tune the processes to break the 42-year jinx of not having been able to produce a governor. The district represented by the Ogun West Elders Council said this on Monday at a media briefing held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta. Speaking through its chairman, Chief Ajibola Olagbaye, who said the summit would hold on Wednesday at Ilaro, the district added that it would seek to mobilise support, encourage and mentor aspirants. Ajibola also expalined that the summit would promote unity and persuade other senatorial districts to support Ogun West’s quest to produce a governor. He said about 500 Ogun West stakeholders both within the country and abroad, would assemble to deliberate on the way forward for the Ogun West agenda.
