borkenaNovember 21,2018Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) rebel fighter returned to Ethiopia today, reported FBC. They were based in Eritrea for many years now waging rebel activities against the government of Ethiopia. The government of Eritrea has ended hostility with Ethiopia after reapproachment policy with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s administration. Return of Ogaden rebels to Ethiopia came several weeks after the Somali-ethno nationalist organization reached peace deal with Ethiopian government to end armed struggle and return to Ethiopia for a peaceful struggle. Somali regional State reportedly organized an official reception for the rebel fighters when they arrived in Jijiga, seat of the regional government.
