Batangas provincial disaster risk reduction and management office (PDRRMO) chief Lito Castro said they have identified the evacuation centers where overcrowding is a problem. In Batangas City alone, 12,385 individuals were temporarily sheltered in 34 evacuation centers, which means that an average of 364 individuals are staying in one evacuation center. NDRRMC Assistant Secretary Casiano Monilla said the single evacuation center in Balete was located within the 14-km danger zone. Monilla said officials were already trying to look for other evacuation centers where the affected residents could transfer.
