Photo: Associated PressPARIS—French authorities were rushing to stabilize several parts of Notre Dame Cathedral still at risk of collapsing on Thursday after the fire that nearly destroyed the 850-year-old landmark. The fire tore through Notre Dame’s roof and brought down its spire, but firefighters were able to save most of its limestone structure. Since then, officials have identified parts of the cathedral that are in danger of collapsing and need immediate attention to alleviate stress on the overall structure.
