They included: "A perceived bias towards rugby" over other sports, and "a perceived bias towards men's sports". New Zealand Rugby boss Mark Robinson and his sporting body stressed team members allowed into New Zealand would adhere to strict quarantine rules. If it had been approved, rugby officials would have picked up the full costs of quarantine for all teams.
