The Under Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Chui Tak-yi, said today there has been an increase in imported coronavirus cases recently and again urged people to delay any unnecessary traveling abroad. Among the 130 cases as at 9:00am, 39 are imported cases and six are their close contacts, while 30 are local cases or probable local cases and 55 are their close contacts, he said. Since February 23, 29 imported cases involve countries outside the mainland. Chui also urged people to spread out visits to ancestors' tombs during the upcoming Ching Ming Festival to reduce the risk of virus transmission. He reminded people who plan to go to the mainland to visit ancestors' tombs that they will be quarantined after returning to Hong Kong.
