An official of a homeowners group in Pasig City was shot dead by a still unidentified man at Barangay Pinagbuhatan on Sunday. Orlando Yebra Jr., city police chief, said Rogelio Balaan, 44, vice president of Brighter Hope Homeowners Association, was killed as he was walking on M. Eusebio Avenue around 7:20 a.m. Investigator PO3 Eric Goboy said the gunman was in a white Suzuki sedan with plate number PZI 823. Despite the quick response of a rescue team, Balaan died on the spot. Goboy said they were looking into the victim’s long-running dispute with a relative as one of the motives for the killing.
