Offaly chairman Michael Duignan has refuted claims that "blatant disregard" was shown to public health and stood by the county's decision to proceed with the SFC 'B' final amid Covid-19 concerns around one of the teams involved. "The playing group has been extremely stressed over the last 48 hours wondering if the game is going to go ahead or whether it is not going ahead. "As a manager, you have to show leadership in this particular situation and make a decision in the best interests of the group." Their loyalty is unbelievable and their straightness and their honesty, all of that is being called into question. "It is very disappointing and maybe Shane wasn't aware of all the facts," he added.
