BHUBANESWAR: Smell of doused fire and smoke is still coming from the fire-affected ICU and dialysis unit of the SUM Hospital , but outdoor patients have not stopped coming to the hospital. "But when we found the cancer ward was not affected in the tragedy, we returned to the hospital," said Sahu.However, the hospital authorities didn't say anything about bringing back of shifted patients to the hospital. "We have stopped admitting patients in our hospital due to the recent problem," said SUM Hospital spokesperson Lingaraj Rath.Manas Samal, Khurda district sub-collector, visited the hospital to look into the issues of its patients. "I'm coordinating with the hospitals to take proper care of shifted patients," he added. When he was asked about the functioning of the hospital without proper fire safety measures, he avoided the question and left the hospital.
