The NIFT students were drowned in Mahanadi whereas the engineering students succumbed to road students. At least five students on Tuesday died in separate incidents in Cuttack and Khurda of Odisha, police said. Three students of NIFT- Bhubaneswar, drowned while taking bath in the Mahanadi near Gadagadia ghat in Cuttack and two other engineering students succumbed in a road accident on NH-5 in the outskirts of the state capital. The police said four NIFT students had gone to take bath in the Mahanadi. The two engineering students who died in a road mishap have been identified as Dhiraj Kumar and Niraj Kumar from Jharkhand.
