At least 18 Maoists were killed by the elite Greyhound forces of Andhra Pradesh at a cut of area in Odisha today. The Greyhound forces attacked a Maoist camp, about 10 km from Malkangiri (at Andhra Pradesh-Odisha border), where at least 50-60 Maoists had assembled. The assault commander of Greyhound team (A DSP rank officer) was seriously injured in the fierce encounter between the Maoists and security forces. Four AK 47 rifles and huge quantity of other arms and ammunitions were recovered from the possession of the Maoists.
