Led by the Akyem Oda Concerned Citizens Association (AKOCCA), the residents say the bridge is in a deplorable state and that it was about time government moved swiftly to deal with the situation. According to residents the bridge has become weak and consistently traps vehicles and other road users. Drivers say their vehicles get trapped in large craters that have developed on the bridge. Our farmers from the villages have been complaining about the bridge so we decided to demonstrate".
