Octave, the premium, data-fuelled audio monetisation platform currently jointly owned by News Broadcasting and Bauer Media, has appointed Russell Pedrick as Managing Director and Joseph Harake as Head of Digital sales. The appointments follow the announcement in February that News UK had agreed to acquire Bauer Media’s share of the Octave joint venture. As Managing Director of Octave, he will lead the transition process, and from July will drive forward an evolved Octave offer. Russell Pedrick, Managing Director of Octave, said: “Since launch five years ago, Octave has built a great reputation in the industry for targeted, premium audio advertising. From July, wholly-owned by News UK, we’re going to turbocharge Octave to create the market leader in data-fuelled audio and video advertising.
