In line with this objective, OceanaGold is setting a goal to achieve net zero GHG emissions from its operations by 2050 and establish milestone intensity targets (GHG emissions per ounce of gold produced) by 2022 to support this goal, he added. Holmes said OceanaGold has established a roadmap of strategic actions to help reduce its carbon footprint and improve energy management. OceanaGold maintains the Macraes and Waihi operations in New Zealand and Haile Gold Mine in the United States.
