Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) slammed CNN over its decision to hold a town hall with former President Trump Wednesday night. “CNN should be ashamed of themselves,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. “They have lost total control of this ‘town hall’ to again be manipulated into platforming election disinformation, defenses of Jan 6th, and a public attack on a sexual abuse victim. Instead they put a sexual abuse victim in harm’s way for views. “I don’t think that I would be doing my job if I did not say that.”CNN defended host Kaitlan Collins and the network’s decision to hold the town hall in a statement on Wednesday night.
