The Democratic Socialist said the fight against climate change is war and that it’s “our World War II.”While a steady stream of international reports have raised alarm about climate change, they stop markedly short of predicting the end of the world. She recently lashed out at fact-checkers, accusing those scrutinizing her statements of "false equivalency" and "bias," before backing down on the criticism. She is now the outspoken advocate of the Green New Deal, which is meant to address economic inequality and climate change.
