The history of the Liberian Observer Corporation, publisher of the Daily Observer, is synonymous to the struggle of the Liberian state, especially for the past three and a half-plus decades. At 36, the Daily Observer has finally caught up with Liberia’s longest surviving newspaper – the Liberia Herald – established in 1926 by John B. Russwurm.
