The Hong Kong Observatory said the maximum temperature recorded at its headquarters in Tsim Sha Tsui today was 30.3 degrees Celsius – the highest so far this year, adding that it was also hot locally in the afternoon. The anticyclone aloft will continue to bring generally fine and hot weather to the south China coast for the rest of this week and next week, it said. According to the Observatory's latest forecast, temperatures tomorrow will be between 23 and 29 degrees and the temperatures will rise up to 33 degrees next week.
