He clarified that Obinim did not turn himself in and was arrested over the fraud case. ASP Darkwa, however, confirmed that Obinim and one of his associates have been charged with physical and verbal assault for flogging a pregnant girl and her boyfriend. Meanwhile, investigations into reports that Obinim publicly flogged two young adults of his church would commence after the investigations in the GHC11.5 million fraud case. A private legal practitioner, Lawyer Francis Xavier Sosu, has also dragged Bishop Obinim to court for flogging the two.
