Barack Obama and wife Michelle have agreed a deal to exclusively produce podcasts for streaming platform Spotify through their production company. Higher Ground, which was created by the former US president and his wife last year, will “develop, produce and lend their voices” to select podcasts to be made available on the audio app. Spotify has more than 217 million monthly active users and over 100 million paying subscribers. Higher Ground already has a partnership with video streaming service Netflix to create a range of documentary and other films.
