Panneerselvam retold the fable of a hunter and doves to appeal to those who left the AIADMK to return to the party. Describing how a small flock of doves got trapped one after the other in a net spread by a hunter as they failed to heed the advice of ‘experienced’ doves, he said, “The experienced doves suggested a strategy. They asked the trapped doves to fly together along with the net before the hunter arrived at the spot and assured them help to disentangle from the net later.”“Similarly, in Tamil Nadu politics, some have got trapped in the net spread by hunters where they will have no political future,” he said. “As loyal followers of Amma (the former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa), we are asking all of them to fly back to us,” he said.
