There are a number of developments underway to further address our transport issues - but there's still room for improvement. When people can't use public transport, they get in their cars. As New Zealand's international city, Auckland requires a world-class public transport system. When many of us travel overseas, public transport tends to be our only option. There is significant research illustrating that communities which have good access to public transport have better social outcomes.
