He used to do that as a punishment for failing to learn. Well, we didn’t learn anything. Almost all teachers in this country believe that punishments help make the children learn better. Recently, 25 students of a madrasa in Burichong, Comilla had to be hospitalized, as their teacher punished them. Some, of course, argue that they don’t learn anything if we aren’t tough and strict with them.
