The Council of Foreign Ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has commended King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, for his tireless efforts to defend the holy Islamic sites in Jerusalem and counter Judaization attempts of the holy city by the Israeli occupying authorities. The Council, which convened its 45th session in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on May 5-6, lauded the tangible role played by Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency through the implementation of several development projects benefiting the inhabitants of the holy city of Al-Quds. The Council urged the OIC member States to increase their support for the Agency to enable it carry out its five-year plan 2014-2018. Yet, the report stresses that to make it possible for the agency to reach the set objectives, it is necessary for OIC member states to pool efforts and mobilize the required financing to carry out the planned projects. Such approaches would help the OIC meet the challenges facing the Islamic world, she said.
