CEBU CITY — A 47-year-old overseas Filipino worker reported an incident of automated teller machine (ATM) scamming on Wednesday after finding out that he had lost money in his bank account. Eniel Ybañez, a resident of Barangay Lutopan in Toledo City, said he discovered on Saturday that P200,000 was missing from his bank account. When he checked with the bank, he discovered that someone had made unauthorized withdrawals. He reported the incident to the office of Cebu City Councilor Dave Tumulak. ADVERTISEMENTThe amount was part of the P278,000 he saved while working in Qatar for two years as a construction worker.
