Cycle trails have been hailed as a major contributor to Otago's economy after a report showed they generated about $20 million in revenue for the region. We celebrate the achievement that the investment in the economy brings but also ask if the dollars and numbers being quoted are being talked up a bit as prior to the official NZ Cycle Trail there was already some income in Otago from existing cycle ways.
