Beauden Barrett beat out fellow All Black Dane Coles, Irishman Jamie Heaslip and Englishmen Billy Vunipola, Owen Farrell and Maro Itoje for the player of the year at the recent World Rugby Awards. All Blacks and Steve Hansen also took away top honours, showing that the New Zealand national team are currently dominating the rugby world both on and off the field.
