ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang'ula had termed the poll as a referendum on the Luhya unity. Mudavadi, Wetang'ula, Kanu’s Gideon Moi and Wiper's Kalonzo Musyioka jointly campaigned for ANC and Ford Kenya candidates in Matungu and Kabuchai constituencies.
