Nyquist won’t be meeting Nyquist at the Belmont Stakes after all. Gustav Nyquist had indicated to Reddam his intention to attend the Belmont and finally meet up with his four-legged namesake. It also means there won’t be a photo op with the two Nyquists at the Belmont. The horse, owned by Windsor, Ont., native Paul Reddam will skip the third jewel of thoroughbred racing’s Triple Crown on June 11. Nyquist finished third in Saturday’s Preakness Stakes and on Sunday came down with a fever, leading to the decision by his team to have the horse undergo blood tests.
