Five surgical theatres to boost healthcare, strengthen UHC in KisumuGovernor Anyang’ Nyong’o commissioned the operating rooms at the Kombewa and Muhoroni sub-county hospitals. Mr Nyong’o said his administration would ensure health facilities were completed and equipped in line with objectives of the universal health coverage (UHC) programme, which Kisumu is piloting with three other counties. The two days have seen us achieve a milestone in the plan to expand surgical and specialised health services,” the governor said in a statement. Pap Onditi, Chulaimbo and Gita hospitals are also scheduled to receive surgical theatres, health workers and modern equipment as the Nyongo’s administration seeks to provide better services in each of the seven sub-counties.
