Nyagah hits out at Jubilee, NASA over TJRC

| Updated Sun, June 25th 2017 at 00:00 GMT +3Independent presidential candidate Joseph NyagahIndependent presidential candidate Joseph Nyagah has warned the Government and the National Super Alliance (NASA) against setting the country up for chaos by mishandling the explosive Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission (TJRC) report. The former minister said the continued silence by the Jubilee government creates the impression that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime is afraid of acting on a report compiled under the law and use of public funds. “The Opposition had made its implementation a key pillar of its election campaign, creating a dangerous and false narrative that it is capable of correcting all perceived historical injustices captured in the TJRC report,” he said. Nyagah spoke after meeting a group of independent Members of County Assembly aspirants from across ten counties in Mt Kenya region at a Nairobi hotel, where he said their movement is seeking to forge a common united front to counter a six-piece campaign strategy adopted by Jubilee and NASA.
