PETALING JAYA: Nurul Izzah Anwar is not taking a step back from politics and will continue playing an important role in Parliament and the country’s political scene, says former PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli. This follows after Nurul Izzah resigned as vice-president of PKR and relinquished her appointment as the chair of Penang PKR. Describing Nurul Izzah as a reformist and a fighter, he said she is only stepping down from key positions in the party and will remain in the idealism and struggle in the chaotic political arena. “Nurul Izzah had and will prove that the reformasi idealism is more important than posts, ranks or power. Rafizi said he also respected Nurul Izzah’s decision and will support every decision she makes because he believed that it comes from her desire to play a more effective role.
