The Medical Council is warning doctors that if they spread misinformation about the Covid-19 pandemic and vaccination rollout, they could face losing their jobs. An Auckland nurse who shared Covid-19 conspiracy theories on social media is being investigated, the Nursing Council of New Zealand confirmed. The incident is the latest in health professionals spreading Covid-19 misinformation, following the Medical Council's investigation of 13 doctors who shared misinformation about the vaccine. Six nurses are currently being investigated by the Nursing Council for spreading Covid-19 misinformation, but there have been no disciplinary findings yet, spokeswoman Clare​ Prendergast​ said. “Apollo Medical has had no positive Covid swab patients through our clinic,” said Baldwin.
