Nurofen makers fined $1m+ after claiming products targeted specific areasJASON REED Nurofen makers have been sentenced in the Auckland District Court. Makers of Nurofen have been ordered to pay more than $1 million in fines for marketing products that purported to target specific types of pain. They were comparable to other Nurofen pain products, but cost more. On Friday the company's lawyer, Michael Heron QC, made a public apology to Nurofen consumers.
