Nur Jazlan: Criminals now operating from gated communities - Nation

JOHOR BARU: Criminals are now operating from gated and guarded community within housing estates to avoid police from going after them, said Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed (pic). The Deputy Home Minister said the activities taking place in the gated and guarded communities included online gambling and prostitution. Nur Jazlan advised house owners to vet potential tenants to ensure that their premises are not used as gambling or prostitution dens. Nur Jazlan said police have limited access when it comes to patrolling gated and guarded communities as some residents' associations did not give them full access. He also advised residents of such communities to get to know their neighbours and be aware of suspicious characters in their area.
