JOHOR BARU: Social media users have been reminded to be mindful of what they post and share on the Internet especially with the general election looming, says Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed (pic). The Deputy Home Minister said action will be taken against those found spreading lies and accusations with the aim of defaming others and causing chaos. "With the election looming, we can expect more and more false allegations surfacing on the Internet intentionally to cause anger and disharmony among the people. "It will be the Opposition's final tactic to create lies against the Government, as they know that we will be unable to address all allegations in time," he told reporters here on Sunday (March 4). Nur Jazlan said this after launching the Parent-Teacher Association annual general meeting at SK Taman Cempaka.
