A case of COVID-19 in Rankin Inlet was confirmed by Nunavut's chief public health officer on Wednesday. All three schools in Rankin Inlet will be closed for the next 14 days at least. The Rankin Inlet District Education Authority says learning packages will be distributed to students. He also reassured Rankin Inlet residents on local radio at 10 a.m. this morning. This is Nunavut's third confirmed case of COVID-19, two cases in the same household in Sanikiluaq were announced earlier this month.
