NEW DELHI: The aviation ministry has directed the immediate removal of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh 's removal from the list of 'dignitaries' allowed the use reserved lounges at airports. "We had asked the aviation ministry that Singh's name should be removed when he was convicted. The list at airports will be revised (minus Gurmeet Singh's name) soon," Airports Authority of India chief Guruprasad Mohapatra said.Gurmeet Singh may have been granted this privilege by this government in April 2015. The aviation ministry's letter dated September 1 to AAI and private/joint venture metro airports says, "It has now been decided to withdraw the permission for use of reserved lounge at airports granted to Shri Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, Chief of Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa, with immediate effect. It is requested to issue necessary instructions for compliance in accordance with the decision of the ministry," it adds.
