PENANG Digital Library, believed to be the first in the country, has opened its doors to the public. Equipped with the latest tech-nology, the library is located on a 4,000sq ft built-up learning space at Penang Free School in Jalan Masjid Negeri. “The Penang Digital Library will encompass important and current works in the area of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math,” said Keysight Technologies Malaysia and Singapore president Datuk Gooi Soon Chai. The library has an amphitheatre which is open for rental to groups for a nominal fee as well as a bakery and pastry cafe. Membership is free until end of the year while the nominal fee for next year will be determined later.
