Nova Scotia to get drenched by November rain storm, falling temperatures to follow

Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the Halifax region as a November storm passes through the region Tuesday into Tuesday night. According to the national weather organization, the rain will begin late Monday night or early Tuesday morning across much of the province and become heavy at times through to Tuesday evening. The warning noted that heavy downpours could cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Environment Canada said the rain will be changing to flurries over western portions of the province late Tuesday night as cold westerly winds move into the region, resulting in temperatures falling below freezing. “Driving conditions may become icy overnight or Wednesday morning as the cold air and flurries push eastward across the province,” the statement also said.
